I passed my test first time in 2017. I have had my pink licence for over a year now and it’s one of my biggest achievements!!!
But I haven’t stopped learning since I passed my driving test.. I’m learning everyday tbh.
So what lessons have I learnt after passing my driving test?
You’ll forget the Highway Code 5 minutes after passing your test. Don’t even get me started on street signs, I have no idea!
Your scariest drive will be the first one you do by yourself. The first time I drove by myself I went to crown point in Leeds and had the music on singing my heart out until I remember that I had to listen for sirens and constraint on the road… ops!
You will stall the car more times then you did during the first few months of lessons! Definitely doesn’t get any less embarrassing. I once stalls my first car – Renault capture on a park hill! The car just kept rolling backwards was so scary.
It’s all fun and games until you become everybody’s personal taxi driver! Honestly you will! Family and friends will be asking you to take them all over. All of a sudden they’ve lost the use of their legs!
You will become lazy! I live a 5 minute walk away from Asda and I always go in the car! Always!
You will swear so much more behind the wheel!! Not our fault nobody else can drive properly!
You will loose all ability to parallel park. Your best of avoiding any situation where you may have to try.
Tbh there is no better feeling then getting in your car with your music on loud singing your heart out! Always create a playlist!!! And always make sure you have your phone cable go charge your phone.
